Side doors of -07/67 buses are designed as such that they can be completely opened without problems. Therefore there is a maximal access to the rear passengers and/or cargo part.
In order to avoid damage to the body when doors open wide, VW has created a door check by means of a textile strap which is fixed at the underside of the side doors. These straps are made of textile and due to age they are often torn.
