There exist 3 kinds of lid seals for Beetles. We sell of course also the metal clamp edge which ‘holds’ the seal. First, there’s a model sold by the meter with a wide clamp edge which can be mounted like the original one -07/60 in 3 parts. The length needed for the front hood is 4,5 meter, for the rear deck lid it’s only 2 meter. 
This rubber can also be used on splitwindow beetles up to 02/53 as a window scraper on the inside and outside.

The rubber gives an original look. Perfect for split, oval, ’58 or ’59.
