On Type 1 & 3 engines oil pick-up tubes exists in two different diameters; 14.50m for the small oil gallery engine cases and 18.50mm for the engine cases with the larger oil galleries.

We make our oil strainers for the smaller 14.50mm diameter, but we make them in a way that you can push them easily on to the larger 18.50mm pick up tube and open them this way for a perfect fit. Its only 4mm after all, and with some product design improvement we have now one part number that fits both diameter pick-up tubes.
