Shifter repair kit (5-speed) Bus 05/79-07/92

This overhaul kit is for the 14mm gear lever and was used by Volkswagen from '82 onwards. Until'82, this was 12mm and so you can say 12mm for air-cooled and 14mm for water-cooled, but there are cases that a 12mm lever was still used after '82. 

The best thing you can do is to measure the diameter to see if you indeed have a 14mm lever.
