This is a replacement shim for dynamo or alternator pulleys and is a vital component for correct adjustment of your V-belt.

There are 10 shims used in total. To adjust the belt, remove the shims from between the pulley halves and re-use them on the front face of the outer pulley. Using the correct number keeps the pulley tight.
